A couple weeks ago I wrote an article for the Washington Post. Since then, the article has been picked up by 5 or 6 other newspapers (including the Dallas Morning News and the Miami Herald,) who then decided to credit me as "Lucas Kravner." The original article has my name correctly credited, but I guess the other guys didn't feel the need to consult the original because that would be boring and pointless and "if i hear 'Kravner' it's 'Kravner"' sez the angry fat editor with the cigar in his mouth and his feet on the desk.
Thanks to a firm letter from my Mom, who wields a mighty sword of truth, the Dallas paper changed it...but it's still "Kravner" on the others. Personally, I'd expected better from Stark County's Canton Rep, but these days even the heaviest hitters have to fire their copywriters.
